I’ve always had a deep passion for organizing and planning, and I believe that every special event deserves to be stunning and a stress free experience for the person putting the event on. With this philosophy in mind I founded NextAge Events and have since gained valuable connections with industry-leading experts and vendors, as well as the best couples to work with.
I currently live in Ashland and just welcomed my first baby in the spring. I am in love with macarons and everything French. I'm an avid NOLA Saints fan and I feel right at home when I'm near or in water. I'm the type of person to bake you your favorite dessert just because i'm thinking of you.

Beth Curfman, Lead Planner/Coordinator
My time at NextAge started when boss babe Katie asked me to coordinate her own wedding! I love working with our brides and awesome vendors around the Richmond area.
Other than planning weddings, I'm obsessed with traveling, Harry Potter, modern calligraphy, watching Bravo TV shows, following all the news about the royals, especially Kate, and eating too much queso at Mexican restaurants.
Jennifer Eastwood, Lead Coordinator
Although my time with NextAge began in 2018, Katie and I have been best friends for almost 20 years! Her passion for event coordination mirrors my own, so I was thrilled to join her in this amazing business! I've had my hand in weddings for many years, working at three different bridal salons and doing some modeling for photoshoots. I knew after my own wedding-planning adventure wrapped up in 2016, I wanted to help others in bringing their visions to life!
When I am not coordinating weddings, you can find me shopping for great deals at thrift stores, enjoying a good movie with my husband, adventuring around Richmond doing photography, and relaxing on the river with friends. Another fun fact- Beth, another NextAge lead coordinator, is my sister!
Litta Paulson, Assistant Coordinator
I met Katie during my own wedding planning process when my now husband and I hired NextAge to coordinate our wedding day. I have always loved everything about weddings and I could not wait to get involved and help other couples bring their dreams to life!
My husband and I currently live in Richmond. You can usually find me reading a book or hanging out with my two pet bunnies. I also love traveling, crafting, restoring old furniture, and watching countless hours of Friends.
