Tip Tuesday: Not your grandparents' guest book

One of my favorite ways for couples to show off their personalities and love story is through their choice in guest book!

Traditionally, the guest book was needed for attendees to sign off as witnesses to the marriage ceremony. While that is no longer required for the marriage license, many couples will carry on the tradition to remember who was a part of their big day.

While you can certainly go with the traditional guest book style for your wedding, there are so many alternatives! I personally love the “guest books” that can be displayed around the house after the wedding.

Search for inspiration on Pinterest, or try something new! Regardless of what it is, NextAge Events will help make it perfect for you!

Katie, NextAge’s Founder, and her husband Dave love to travel! They have placed love locks on several bridges around the world, and kept on that tradition at their wedding. Guests placed a note and an individual lock onto a handmade “bridge”. It’s now displayed in their home and is such a fun reminder of a fun day!

Jennifer, my sister & Katie’s bestie, and Jasen also chose to go with a handmade project for their guest book! A stained wooden sign was made and painted with their new initial. Guests wrote well wishes, and it’s something I love looking at every time I visit as it's hanging in their living room!

Our December couple, Sydney and Matthew, brought in fun ideas for their guest book…. puzzle pieces and polaroids! I love how creative their guests could be in filling out a puzzle piece!

Another NextAge couple, Dorothy and William made sure their guest book reflected part of their story. They love to travel and have spent time overseas. An atlas served as their guest book, and Dorothy added some items from her time China on the table, making a picture perfect display.
